The real-time drivers (RTD) electric kart showcases an advanced embedded automotive solution built on AUTOSAR® extensions, integrating custom device drivers and NXP's S32K312EVB-Q172 Evaluation Board, S32K118-Q048 Evaluation Board and the S32E288-975EVB High-Performance Real-Time Processors Evaluation Board. It features drive-by-wire steering via ADC, real-time sensor communication over SPI, I²C, and CAN FD, and road sign detection using a PIXY2 camera. Hardware-accelerated PWM and GPT manage synchronized outputs like lighting and sound, while power management ensures energy efficiency. A scalable data acquisition system supports modular expansion, and a custom hall sensor enables RPM-based speed monitoring. With SD card logging, intuitive UI control and precise motor coordination, the RTD Kart demonstrates smart hardware-software integration tailored for innovation and testing.
