RW610:
Wireless MCU with Integrated Radio: 1x1 Wi-Fi® 6 + Bluetooth® Low Energy 5.4 Radios
NXP’s Personal Device Manager (PDM) solution is a secure, optimized and highly-integrated platform designed to control personal insulin pumps.
The system architecture features a multiprotocol microcontroller unit (MCU) with Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) 5.4, Wi-Fi 6, a security subsystem and an LCD controller. To ensure continuous device operation, and simplify printed circuit board (PCB) design and bill of materials (BOM) it includes a power management integrated circuit (PMIC) with battery charging and gauging. To enhance connectivity, an near-field communication (NFC) reader is included for easy pairing with NFC-enabled pumps. However, a secure element is recommended to protect sensitive data and for compliance with stringent security standards.
NXP supports product longevity by meeting healthcare requirements and aligning with diverse regional supply chain needs while collaborating with original design manufacturers (ODMs) ready to bring the product to market.
