Features

Hardware

  • Chose the needed hardware for the EVerest or proprietary solution.
  • EVerest solution:
    • 1 x MCIMX93-EVK board or 1 x FRDM-IMX93 for the EVSE side. The MCIMX93-EVK board has the LBES5PL2EL Murata module with NXP IW612 chipset (Wi-Fi 6, BLE 5.2) included. The FRDM-IMX93 uses the onboard MAYA-W276-00B module with the NXP IW412 chipset
    • 2 x EVSE-SIG-BRD2X signal board with a microcontroller and transceivers to support a variety of EV charging control protocols, such as an NXP LPC55S36 MCU with PWM for the SAE J1772 control pilot, an NXP TJA1021BT LIN transceiver for SAE J3068, and a Lumissil CG5317 HomePlug Green PHY for ISO 15118 (one board for the EV and one board for the EVSE side)
    • 1 x OM-SE050ARD-E EdgeLock SE050 development board for the EVSE side
    • 1 x TWR-KM35Z75M metering board for the EVSE side
    • 1 x OM27160B1EVK NFC development kit for the EVSE side
    • 1 x DY1212W-4856 12.1" TFT LCD display with LVDS connector (touch panel) for the EVSE side. When using the MCIMX93-EVK. When using the FRDM-IMX93, any HDMI supported screen can be used for the graphical user interface on the EVSE side
    • 1 x MIMXRT1060-EVK or MIMXRT1060-EVKB or MIMXRT1060-EVKC or MIMXRT1064-EVK for the EV side
  • Proprietary solution:
    • The solution ships as a ready-to-use, wired and pre-tested kit containing the following hardware:
    • 2 x MCIMX93-EVK boards which include the LBES5PL2EL Murata module with NXP IW612 chipset (Wi-Fi 6, BLE 5.2)
    • 2 x EVSE-SIG-BRD2X signal board with a microcontroller and transceivers to support a variety of EV charging control protocols, such as an NXP LPC55S36 MCU with PWM for the SAE J1772 control pilot, an NXP TJA1021BT LIN transceiver for SAE J3068, and a Lumissil CG5317 HomePlug Green PHY for ISO 15118
    • 1 x OM-SE050ARD-E EdgeLock SE050 development board
    • 1 x TWR-KM35Z75M metering board
    • 1 x OM27160B1EVK NFC development kit
    • 1 x DY1212W-4856 12.1" TFT LCD display with LVDS connector (touch panel)
    • 10 x cables
    • 3 x power supplies
    • 2 x plexiglass mounts

Software

  • The solution contains specific application software and miscellaneous tools that help to evaluate, run and further develop a full-featured EVSE
  • Complimentary example software is downloadable at the link below and consists:
    • Sample source code on the MPU:
      • EasyEVSE Yocto manifest
      • EasyEVSE Yocto meta layer containing recipes for building the image
      • EasyEVSE Linux userspace applications
    • Sample source code on the KM MCU:
      • Meter project for TWRKM3x7x board
    • Azure IoT Central templates
      • EasyEVSE application template shareable link (EVSEAppShareLink)
      • EasyEVSE IoT central JSON file

Additional Miscellaneous Hardware

  • EVerest solution:
    • EVSE to EV side: 1 x male-to-male 2.54-mm jumper cable (when not using a coaxial cable) to connect to the EVSE-SIG-BRD2X on the EV side to 1 x EVSE-SIG-BRD2X on the EVSE side
    • EVSE side: 2.54-mm jumper cables: male-to-female cables and male-to-male cables to connect the MCIMX93-EVK together with the EVSE-SIG-BRD2X, OM-SE050ARD-E, TWR-KM35Z75M and the OM27160B1EVK
  • EVerest and proprietary solution:
    • EVSE side: 1 x NFC passive device; for example, blank NFC MIFARE or NTAG sample cards
